Support that puts your child first

πŸ’› Our Story

Kids First Support was born from personal experience β€” and a mother’s determination to make sense of a system that often feels impossible to navigate.

Hi, I’m Gordana Horvat, and before anything else, I’m a mum.

When our daughter Klara was diagnosed with autism, our world shifted in ways we never expected. There was so much love, but also confusion. Every day seemed to bring new forms, new terms, new appointments β€” and yet, very few real answers. more

Gordana Horvat Founder of Kids First Support

Every journey begins with a moment that changes everything.
For Gordana, that moment was when her daughter Klara was diagnosed with autism.

Like many parents, she was filled with love, hope, and determination β€” but also fear and confusion. The process of understanding the NDIS, therapy options, and available supports felt like learning a whole new language. Despite her background in finance and business management, Gordana found herself overwhelmed by the complexity of it all.

But instead of letting that frustration win, she turned it into purpose. more...

Gordana founded Kids First Support to help other families find the guidance she once needed β€” clear, calm, and grounded in lived experience. Her mission is to make sure no parent ever feels lost or alone when trying to support their child.

Through Kids First Support, Gordana brings together empathy and expertise to guide parents through early intervention, NDIS navigation, and everyday decision-making β€” all with a personal touch that only someone who’s been there can offer.

When she’s not helping families, you’ll find Gordana spending time with her husband Damir and their three children β€” Niki, Vladimir, and Klara β€” whose laughter and resilience remind her every day why this work matters.

β€œI know what it feels like to be lost in the system. My goal is to make sure no other parent feels that way again.
Together, we can make things clearer, calmer, and filled with hope.”
